Set Description
Bowman issued this color set in 1953 along with smaller black & white version. With a combination of exceptional photography and design simplicity, the ’53 Bowman set is often considered one of the most beautiful sets ever issued. The fronts are for the first time actual color phots of the players. The backs are numbered and have the players bio and stats, lifetime and previos year. Card #113-160 are scarce with #113-128 being exceptionally difficult.
